If we bring cattle to your feedyard, do you have a certain number of head you will take to feed?
We have different sizes of pens so we can take various numbers of head. For the benefit of the customer we recommend bringing what will be truckloads in and/or out. If you have a small number to bring they may get put into a pen with some of our own cattle that are similar in size/weight and projected out date. They will be fed together and billed separately. Our feedyard accounting program will separate the feedbill.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Give us a call to talk with Gary or Lane about financing options.
How do you market finished cattle from your feedlot?
We market fat cattle through Consolidated Beef Producers (CBP) who received bids from four primary packers in our area which include: Cargill at Fort Morgan, CO; JBS at Greely, CO; Tyson at Lexington, NE; and National Beef at Dodge City, KS or Liberal, KS.
If we want to grow calves to feeder cattle, do you have a market for these feeder cattle through the feedyard?
Yes, we can offer feeder cattle through private treaty, local Livestock Auction marketing, and there is potential we may be interested in the purchase ourselves (depending on weight, markets, and time of year).
